Ports of Call Itinerary Information & Overview
Seattle Washington
No doubt you will find some hidden gems, while exploring Seattle. However there are certain famous and well-loved spots you must visit while in this spectacular city. Pike Place Market is one of those places. This is a protected historic distract that fills your senses with sights, smells, tastes and sounds. Perhaps the most famous event of the market is the fish throwing down in the fresh seafood area. It can be explained, but it’s best if you see it yourself for the first time. Woodland Park Zoo is spread over 65 acres. It is home to over 1,000 animals. Lush forest settings create natural habitats, as well as indoor exhibits. Everyone associates the Space Needle with Seattle. Take a trip to the top for breathtaking views of the city and beyond. Three of the best museums to visit in Seattle are the Museum of Glass, Seattle Asian Art Museum and the Seattle Art Museum downtown.
Ketchikan, Alaska
Ketchikan originated as an Indian fish saltery, but the town's major growth began when it became a supply base and entry port for miners during the 1898 Gold Rush to the Klondike. Much of the town's colorful past is still in evidence, especially in the nearby Indian villages, where you'll see colorfully carved totem poles and hear the fascinating legends that surround them.
While fishing is by far the most popular sport in Ketchikan, there are a lot of other activities for people to take part in. In fact, one of the best ways to see the area and enjoy the scenery is simply to take a walk through town and to the Totem Heritage Center. There, you can explore the history of totem poles and see some terrific examples.
Experience the sheer granite cliffs, plunging 1,000-foot waterfalls, crystalline lakes and low-hanging mists of Misty Fjords from the air on a seaplane.
Treat yourself to a rowdy good time at The Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show where the world's best timber athletes go head to head in an action-packed hour of fun for the entire family!
Take a memorable kayaking trip to the beautiful Tatoosh Island. Keep a lookout for bald eagles, seals, and sea lions.
Search for the Alaskan black bear on an exciting wildlife air/land adventure. It's one adventure not to be missed by the nature-lover or photographer.
Take a Jeep® safari deep into the backcountry to a pristine alpine lake, where you'll go for a scenic canoe ride.
Five varieties of North Pacific salmon thrive in the cold waters off Ketchikan. Our experienced guides will take you out fishing in a well-equipped fishing boat and, if you'd like, we can even arrange to have your catch sent home for you.
Immerse yourself in Alaska's breathtaking underwater world as you snorkel the calm and clear waters of Mountain Point.
Glide through the top of a rainforest canopy along a series of dual cables suspended between tall trees.
Tracy Arm Fjord
The fjord is part of the 30 mile long Tracy Arm - Fords Terror Wilderness region, located about 60 miles southeast of Juneau. The fjord is truly one of the most dramatic locations in Alaska, or in the entire world, for that matter. The sheer, glacier-carved walls are often shrouded in mist. Glacial calving in Tracy Arm can often be quite spectacular, as huge chunks of ice break off and plunge into the frigid waters below. Many of these chunks of ice are larger than several busses combined, so the effect can be simply jaw-dropping
Literally hundreds of waterfalls cascade down the sides of the fjord, creating an almost otherworldly atmosphere. It's something you really have to see to believe, it's just that unique and positively breathtaking to behold. Famed naturalist John Muir compared the glacial-carved sheer granite cliffs in the area to those of Yosemite, saying that this region was even more spectacular than the more well-known Yosemite Valley. One thing is certain when you visit Tracy Arm Fjord - you will be impressed and struck with awe at the magnitude and beauty of the place.
Juneau Alaska
Founded during the gold rush in the late 1800s and named after prospector Joe Juneau, the city has grown into a beautiful city offering a variety of accommodations, good restaurants and transport services. It also serves as the departure point for several wilderness attractions, including Glacier Bay National Park and Preserve and Admiralty Island National Monument.
Few cities in the U.S. are as beautiful as Juneau. Not only is Juneau the capital of Alaska, residents claim it is the most scenic capital in the country and it is often referred to as a 'little San Francisco.' The city center, which hugs the side of Mt. Juneau and Mt. Roberts, has many narrow streets running past a mixture of new structures, old storefronts and slanted houses, all held together by a network of staircases. The bustling waterfront features cruise ships, tankers, fishing boats, a few kayakers and floatplanes buzzing in and out. Overhead are the snow-capped peaks of Mt. Roberts and Mt. Juneau, which provide just a small part of the superb hiking in the area.
Skagway Alaska
A place exists in Alaska where the past lives on, where the cries of ”gold in the Yukon" still echo from steep canyon walls, where the sounds of barroom pianos and boomtown crowds ring out in the night. A place where the romance and excitement of yesteryear linger around every street corner, every bend in the trail. That place is Skagway!
Alaska Inside Passage - Cruising
Carved by glaciers and blanketed with majestic Western hemlock and giant Sitka spruce, Alaska's Inside Passage is a region of pristine water, snow-capped mountains, deep fjords and forested islands. With its mild, maritime climate, this area is prime habitat for bald eagles, sea lions, porpoises and whales.
Victoria Canada
Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria is a community of choice for its temperate climate, natural beauty, recreational sites and superior economic opportunities. The city is alive with people and activity. Victoria has been blessed with a wealth of natural and man-made riches, including stunning heritage architecture framed by ocean views and mountain vistas. It is this rare juxtaposition of heritage charm, scenic backdrop and modern city-scape that makes Victoria one of the most uniquely special places in Canada. Millions visit our city every year and enjoy the natural beauty, temperate climate and heritage charm Victoria offers it citizens every day.
